🎉 Beavercreek Speech and Debate Shines in Cleveland! 🎉 Last weekend, our talented team traveled to the Olmsted Falls tournament and placed in the Top 5 for Team Sweeps! 🏆👏 Here are the individual highlights: ⭐ Senior Ella Schrader - 4th place in Dramatic Interpretation ⭐ Senior Nate Houseknecht - 3rd place in Informative Speaking ⭐ Freshman Rylynn Anspach - 2nd place in Dramatic Interpretation ⭐ Sophomore Kevin McCray Jr. - 2nd place in Original Oratory ⭐ Sophomore Surya Selvam - 2nd place in Declamation ⭐ Senior Rishi Mankala - 1st place and Tournament Champion in Declamation! 🏅 The team is taking a well-deserved winter break and will return to competition in January. In honor of National Veterans and Military Family Appreciation Month, did you know that the Purple Star School designation began in 2017 in Ohio and that Trebein Elementary was part of the inaugural class to receive this prestigious designation? 💜✨ The Purple Star Award is given to "Military-Friendly Schools" that demonstrate support for our military-connected families. 🎶 Fact Friday! 🎶 Did you know the Beavercreek High School Friends Show Choir has been sharing its musical talent for over 50 years? Established in 1972, this group started as an offshoot of the BHS vocal music program when a group of friends began meeting after school to sing more contemporary music. This casual gathering inspired the name “Friends” and gave rise to our amazing show choir! Since then, Friends Show Choir has been a proud Beavercreek tradition, bringing energy, passion, and creativity to every performance.
