Hannah Johnson, kitchen manager at Valley Elementary, is this week’s staff spotlight! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hannah has been with the district for two years and hopes to teach students the importance of kindness. She says, “Acts of kindness make the world a better place for everyone.”
Hannah’s parents are to whom she attributes her success, as they have always supported and encouraged her. They also modeled a good work ethic and strong values growing up.
If there is one thing she hopes people know about our district, it would be that we have so many wonderful staff members, and our students are always the top priority!
Our students are getting in the festive spirit!
Recently, two of our BHS Art Portfolio students, Audrey and Jayne, dedicated volunteer hours after school to paint an art mural for the Beavercreek Preschool students to enjoy. Thank you to their art teacher, Kathy Broyles, and preschool teacher, Amanda McQuade, for helping with this project!
Great job, Audrey and Jayne! 🎨
Wishing you all a wonderful December!
Join Superintendent Otten for December's Community Chats!
Mrs Hart and Mrs Ammon's friends at Parkwood learned that sometimes it takes just a dot, not a lot when it comes to paint. This activity is fun and helps work on fine motor skills and hand strength. Grab some q-tips and see what you can make with just a dot, not a lot!
Happy Thanksgiving, from all of us! We are thankful for each and every one of you!
Mrs. Zimmerman and Mrs. Laughman's students had fun with the class pets - 11 hermit crabs!!! Pictured is the pirate crab, he has a pirate ship on his shell! They learn about what hermit crabs do and don't like to eat, where they live, and they were able to give them a "shower".
Join us for our November Board of Education meeting this week!
Doesn't everyone have their foot painted at school!?!
There is a wall at the end of our hallway leading down to rooms 10/11 and central office that room 5 uses to display art. When it is empty, it is a big white blank canvas crying for decoration. Insert two talented high school artists. Stay tuned to see how it turned out!
Join us this week to learn about the comprehensive approach to safety and security in Beavercreek City Schools!
With such a big focus on social and emotional wellness, it only makes sense for us to dress up accordingly!!!
Happy Halloween Week from your friends at Beavercreek Preschool! Check back for celebration and costume pictures early November!
Beavercreek is seeking substitutes to join our team!
Art can be a full sensory experience. We encourage students to try things out of comfort zone while still giving options that are comfortable to them. Someone may say they don't want to get their hands dirty and start paining with a brush then slowly work up courage to dive in with both hands! Encourage your students to try something new!!
There is more to do with smore's than just eat them...though that is still our favorite!
These three ladies were feeling the fall vibes!! We love when we match and it isn't planned!!
When a couple local firefighters visited room 3 not only did the students get to try on the helmets, but Mrs, King got in on the fun too! Be sure to watch for the big post with lots of pictures early November.
Tummy time isn't just for infants. In the digital age, we tend to look down more, laying on your tummy helps with upper body and neck strength. Consider laying on the floor to play a game or build a puzzle.
