Mat Man is a Pre-K classroom character that embodies Learning Without Tears by using unique approach to drawing with multisensory activities and strategies that help young learners develop strong drawing and cognitive skills. Congrats to Tamara Frost, who was awarded the 2023 Outstanding Educator of the Year Award, & Angie Hemmerich, who was awarded the Support Staff Member of the Year Award! Mrs. Frost teaches music at Shaw Elementary, & Mrs. Hemmerich is the head custodian at Parkwood Elementary.

Join us tonight for Open House Night! Each of our buildings will host an open house for students and parents to stop by and meet teachers, get acquainted with the building and classrooms, and get ready to start the school year off next week.
We know everyone is excited to find out who they have for a teacher this year! Our first day back is Wednesday the 9th. In the morning we will gather for an exciting opening ceremony with the entire district followed by time in our classrooms. Teachers will begin reaching out to their students at that point. We can't wait to meet you all!!
School supply drop offs are 8/7 from 8am-4pm and 8/8 from 1-7pm - you might even see one of your favorite teachers there helping out!
IT IS AUGUST! We hope you have been enjoying your summer. School doesn't start for students for a couple more weeks but we are so excited to meet everyone! When you visit the school, make sure to get a picture with our newest addition to the building, the Matisse Beaver!
