How fun! Many thanks to our Back to School Bash event coordinator, Jen Criel, and all of the other amazing volunteers that made Friday so fun! And a special thanks to Beavercreek Fire Station 65 for cooling us all down a bit! Thanks for joining us!

Join us for our Back to School Bash Friday, Aug. 25 from 6:00-8:00 on the playground.

Today was a great day for learning as we had various staff professional development going on. Our BHS teachers learned about ways to use data to inform instructional strategies. Our middle school teachers spent time collaborating to learn more about the characteristics and needs of our students and how we can better support them, and some of our elementary staff spent time learning more about emotional intelligence.

If you find yourself at or near Trebein Elementary this school year, keep an eye out for their beautiful new butterfly bench. The bench was donated by Trebein Principal Lisa Walk and was made by Mrs. Walk's father. It was donated to honor the loving memory of Sheila Frey, a Gifted Intervention Specialist at Trebein who passed away last April.
The bench has been placed near the Trebein Little Free Library since Sheila loved to read.
We are very grateful our students and staff can have this special place to honor Mrs. Frey. Also, a special thank you goes out to our BCS Buildings and Ground crew for loading the bench and moving it to its new location.

Join us tonight for Open House Night! Each of our buildings will host an open house for students and parents to stop by and meet teachers, get acquainted with the building and classrooms, and get ready to start the school year off next week.

It was a great day at Trebein Elementary! The 2023-2024 Wolf Pack met for orientation. Students must apply at the end of their 4th-grade year and are chosen based on their application and character. The Wolf Pack serves as event volunteers, student tutors, classroom helpers, recycling collectors, tour guides, and much more!
We look forward to seeing all the great things the Pack will accomplish this year!

Trebein's Meet and Greet will be held on August 10th from 4:00-6:00. In order to help with parking and hallway traffic, we encourage families with the last names A-L to come from 4:00-5:00 and M-Z to come from 5:00-6:00. However, please know you are truly welcome any time that works for your family as we know there are Open Houses taking place in all Beavercreek Schools that evening.

What a fun last Monday it was at Trebein! Our Music Club performed for the school and led a sing along! 🎉

Mrs. Walk grilled hot dogs for lunch! She makes the best hot dogs!!

The first grade classes from Trebein Elementary enjoyed a program from the Greene County Parks and Recreation. They learned all about Ohio owls and got to meet Mike, the Eastern Screech Owl. They also learned all about owl traits, characteristics and played games!

We had a lovely turnout for Purple Up breakfast! Thank you to our military affiliated families! Trebein is a better place because you’re part of our community. 💜🦫🇺🇸

Third grade students enjoyed seeing Charlotte's Web at LaComedia this week!

Trebein’s Gardening Club has been hard at work again yesterday! They assembled and set up a raised bed for planting some vegetables. They added a layer of their own compost and a load of compost tea. Then they added garden soil on top. They plan to plant radish and lettuce seeds soon! They enjoyed the warm Spring weather! Great work, Gardening Club! And thank you to Mrs. Salyers for leading this small, but mighty group of students! 🪴

Some of our 4th grade students recently completed an assignment writing letters to elected officials. Today Mr. Loper’s classes got to meet and speak with City of Beavercreek Ohio - Municipal Government Mayor Stone and Council Member Adams.
Mr. Loper says the kids were amazed that they were able to use some of their government power (in contacting these officials) to have them visit their classrooms! What a great learning experience! 🦫

What a fantastic Family Dance! We had a GLOWING time celebrating Trebein’s 10th Birthday! Many thanks to all of the amazing volunteers who made this event possible, and especially our two main Family Dance organizers, Lauren Cole and Jealine Purtee!

The Trebein gardening club is winter sowing some flower seeds and some quick growing veggies like lettuce and radish. We reused plastic containers to make mini greenhouses for our seeds. Can’t wait to see how this experiment goes!
And if you’ve walked into our building this week, you might’ve noticed we have tulips budding in our flowerbeds because of our gardening club’s hard work in the fall!
Thank you, gardening club for beautifying our campus! 💐

Fourth-grade students in Mrs. Harney's math class at Trebein Elementary experienced a Valentine Escape Room. Students worked together to solve math problems, earn clues and used problem-solving skills to unlock the 3-digit code on the box. 🔢 It was not only a robust review it was also a lot of fun!

Trebein has been overwhelmed with generosity once again! Our campaign for the new Timmy Cares Fund has been so well received. Thank you Trebein families!
