Beavercreek City Schools
The Beavercreek City School District is a publicly funded Ohio entity that spans 47 square miles across Greene County and neighboring Montgomery County. The district services over 7,500 students who reside in the City and Township of Beavercreek, Alpha, portions of Fairborn, Kettering, Riverside, Sugarcreek Township, and Xenia.
Students through grade 12 are taught by 467 full-time faculty members across the district’s preschool, six elementary schools, two middle schools, one freshman school, and one high school. Students are offered meal options during the school day and transportation to and from each school building. The district’s bus fleet also provides students with transportation to the area’s daycare centers, private schools, and community schools.
Every student's situation is unique. In response, our district provides a myriad of comprehensive services to accommodate development and achievement needs. From prevention/intervention programs to special education and health services, every effort is made to work with families to support student success.
Student ACT and SAT test scores are consistently well above state and national averages. Nearly three-quarters of our graduates attend a four-year college or university, while many choose to attend a two-year college or trade school. To complement the district’s excellent classroom instruction, students are given opportunities to experience several extra-curricular activities in the arts, athletics, academics, and public service.
According to the most recent state report card, Beavercreek City Schools exceeded several achievement benchmarks and ranks among the top public school districts in Ohio. Beavercreek City Schools is among the top 20 percent of public school districts in Ohio with the highest academic performance index scores.
The biggest source of district revenue is taxpayer dollars, with state funding a distant second. Over 70 percent of funds collected are used for classroom instruction, which ranks in the top 10 among Ohio school districts of similar size. A premium is placed on good stewardship of district finances that has earned numerous awards from local, state, and federal oversight bodies.
