🧠🔬 Hands-On Learning in Medical Detectives!
Mrs. Bisignani's Medical Detectives students explored the anatomy of the brain by dissecting a sheep brain! 🐑 Students labeled key regions, learned about their functions, and examined the brain from different perspectives, including a cross-sectional view after cutting through the corpus callosum.
What an amazing way to bring science to life! 👩🔬👨🔬 #STEMinAction #FutureScientists #OneDistrictOneMissionOneCreek 🧡🖤

🍭✨ Main Elementary's Sweet Success! ✨🍭
For the 7th year in a row, Main Elementary School collected excess Halloween candy with the help of the entire Beavercreek community, and this year's effort was nothing short of amazing!
Here's what was accomplished:
📦 327 pounds of candy collected!
🎁 Fifth-grade students checked, sorted, and weighed the candy, creating 150 goodie bags for Beavercreek's first responders.
🏢 8 large candy jars were made for display at the fire stations and police station, aligning with the "One District, One Mission, One Creek" initative.
🍬 The Creek Little Food Pantry was stocked with pretzels and snacks from the donations.
✉️ Students created 100 heartfelt letters and pictures for Operation Gratitude, which were sent to troops and veterans in California.
🍬 75 pounds of candy were donated to local Veteran organizations, including American Legion Post 763 and VFW 8312 Beavercreek Memorial Post.
This initiative showcased the kindness, creativity, and generosity of our Beavercreek family. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this program such a success. Together, we truly are #OneDistrictOneMissionOneCreek! 🧡🖤

📚 Fact Friday! 🧡🖤
Did you know that the summer before the 1971-72 school year, Parkwood Elementary removed a wall between its library and a classroom to more than double its size? This expansion created what became known as an Instructional Materials Center (IMC)—a resource-rich space designed to enhance learning for students.
Today, all of our schools proudly feature IMCs, continuing the tradition of fostering curiosity and providing resources for student success. 🏫✨

📞💾 Throwing it Back to 1994 at BHS! 💾📞
Check out this blast from the past! Beavercreek High School students in 1994 were hard at work using the tech of the time—boxed computers, payphones in the hallway, and trusty typewriters.
It's amazing to see how far we've come since then. Technology may have changed, but the dedication to learning at BHS has always been timeless! 🧡🖤
