class of 2024

We're down to the home stretch with the Class of 2024 in the building!

There are a LOT of items we still need to get done before the Seniors' Last Day on May 10th. Please read through the attached documents for some important reminders regarding Senior Activities and Graduation items that still need to be taken care of before the year comes to a close.

Students have received the same information to their GoCreek email addresses - including the RSVP for their May 10th Senior-Send Off event - the deadline for the RSVP is THIS WEEKEND, May 5th. PLEASE BE SURE YOUR SENIOR COMPLETES THIS RSVP. Both BHS and GCCC Seniors are invited to attend the Senior events but the RSVP must be submitted so we have an accurate head count for activities and the lunch order.

You may want to touch base with your senior about the following items:

  • Your student must complete a Senior Survey (link in their GoCreek email) before May 10th - final transcripts will not be sent to colleges/universities without this being submitted. A link can also be found on THEIR copy of the senior events sheet they received in their email this evening.

  • Your student must complete their RSVP (link in their GoCreek email) before May 5th. A link to this can also be found on THEIR copy of the senior events sheet they received in their email this evening.

  • Your student (if they qualified) must pick up his/her Latin Honors cords this week or next in the Counseling Office (this information has been emailed to them previously and can be found in THEIR copy of the senior events sheet they received in their email this evening). Your student may also pick up their red blood cord (in the Counseling Office) from the Red Cross if he/she donated blood 3 times throughout high school. BHS does NOT track this - it is tracked by the Red Cross and we are not responsible for these cords. THE ONLY CORDS WORN AT GRADUATION ARE ACADEMIC CORDS (LATIN HONORS) AND THE RED BLOOD CORD.

  • In the next few days, Seniors will select an Honored Guest to invite to graduation. This may be any teacher/staff member that has had a positive influence upon their life and can be from any school in their PK-12 educational experience. We will have those invites available for the students and we will take care of delivering them to the guest of their choice.

  • Your senior should have ordered a black gown, black cap, ORANGE tassel, and orange 2024 stole for the graduation ceremony. It never fails - we can remind students 100 times to take their items out of the package prior to 5:00 the night of graduation to remove the wrinkles - someone will still walk in the night of the ceremony with their items wrapped in plastic...

  • Seniors need to be sure they've returned any textbook, CCP materials, and their Chromebooks before May 10th. Teachers typically like students to keep their Chromebooks until at least May 8th so we would encourage them not to turn those in quite yet.

  • Lastly, any senior with unpaid fees will not be permitted to walk at graduation. Multiple notifications and reminders have been distributed to families in this situation. If your student still has unpaid school fees - PLEASE be sure those are paid PRIOR to May 13th.

We are accepting donations for our prize giveaways during the Senior Send-Off celebration on Friday, May 10th. Gift cards, prize baskets, candy, etc. will gladly be accepted and be raffled off while our students enjoy their picnic lunch together one last time as a class before they graduate. If you would like to donate an item(s), please feel free to drop it off at the BHS Main Office prior to 8:00 am on May 10th, labeled "SENIOR SEND-OFF." Thank you in advance!!

If you have any questions regarding the Senior Send-Off Activities or Graduation, please call or email the BHS Main Office. We are excited to celebrate the Class of 2024!
