Join us at Ferguson Hall at 6:30 p.m. this Friday for a Nationals Send-Off for our Beavercreek High School Dance Team! These ladies are heading to Orlando to compete in the UDA National Dance Team Championships on February 2-4 at Walt Disney World Resort.
Honored to have Attorney Chris Beck of Beck Law Office, L.L.C., visit our middle schools yesterday! 🌟 He enlightened our students about real-world responsibilities, paving the way for success as part of our Character Education initiative. January, we focus on the pillar of responsibility! 💡 Thank you, Chris, for empowering the next generation to thrive! #CharacterEducation #Responsibility
There's nothing like a new addition to perk up indoor recess during these cold winter months! Coy students can now enjoy Crossnet when they're stuck inside for recess. 🧡🖤🏐
ICYMI, our Beavercreek Dance Teams hosted the Beavercreek Invitational. All of the Beavercreek Dance Teams performed, including the varsity Beaverettes and the BHS All-Stars.
Congratulations to all on your great performances! 💃
Check out our Trebein Wolfpack this morning! They were camera-ready and eager to work with our District Character Ed Committee on a Rooted in Our Community video!
Mrs. Pleasant's second-grade class at Trebein recently completed a pizza box project to showcase their knowledge of habitats! 🍕🍕
For the project, students chose their favorite type of habitat to research, and then they learned about where the habitat is located, what animals and plants live in the habitat, and what the weather is like. Students also deepened their knowledge by choosing an animal in the habitat and learned what they looked like, what they ate, where they lived within their habitat, and three fun facts about their animals.
Next, the students incorporated science, writing, art, and technology into their unit and created a pizza display representing their chosen habitat!
Thanks to Donatos Pizza in Beavercreek for donating 25 new pizza boxes for this class project! 🍕🍕
Coy Middle School held its annual Spelling Bee. After 23 rounds, 2.5 hours, and 3 locations, Jessica Hess took home the title of Champion!
This was a record-breaking spelling bee! The competition was incredible, with the final 8 making it to the 18th round! The runner-up was Luke Mahr! 🐝
Congratulations to our middle school wrestlers who won the Williamsburg Tournament over the weekend! Great job, wrestlers. 🤼
Parkwood Student Council members sold Candy Cane Grams in December as part of their community outreach to raise money for Feed the Creek. Every candy cane sold contributed to the fundraiser's success. Thanks to the generosity of Parkwood Elementary's students and staff, the Student Council donated $1,072 to Feed the Creek to help them provide food for children in the Beavercreek community. Way to go, Parkwood Elementary!
Meet Ruby Stahl! Ruby is a therapy Shihtzu dog at Dayton Children's. She sometimes visits students at Shaw Elementary and even gets a taste of what they do during the day as she sits at the table, ready to learn!
Today, we highlight Brian Shively, our transportation administrative assistant for our staff spotlight.
Brian has worked for BCS for five years, and within that time, he credits Transportation Supervisor Lindy Shumaker as the person who has been most influential in his career.
He hopes students can learn two things from him: patience and kindness. Also, if there is one thing Brian hopes more people know about our district, it would be the array of opportunities our students have here, ranging from music, athletics, academic teams, and social clubs to numerous other activities.
We are incredibly grateful to have Brian as a member of the Creek family!
Please be advised that all BCS evening activities are as planned, including the opening night for the BHS Drama presentation of Hit and Misdemeanor, our Creek Hockey Military Appreciation Night at the Kettering Rec Center, and our boys' basketball game at Springfield. We hope to see many of you out tonight supporting our Beavers! 🖤🧡🧡🖤

Due to the current road conditions, BCS will be closed today, Friday, January 19. Be safe and have a great weekend.
Don't feel like cooking tonight? No worries! Ankeney Middle School is "Raising Some Dough" at Panera on Dayton-Xenia this evening.
As part of the Panera Fundraising, 25% of all sales tonight between 4 and 8 p.m. will benefit Ankeney Middle School PTO. Please share!
Students signed up to explore hobbies together during their Flex class as part of Ankeney Middle School's "OH WOW" Week (Open Hobby Week of Wonder). The goal was to foster connections through shared interests. One of the many groups offered was the Taste of Beavercreek, where local business owners shared about being entrepreneurs and shared samplings of their food!
Students also brought in money that will go towards supporting Feed the Creek. Thank you to the owners/operators of the following businesses for participating:
Chick-fil-A of Beavercreek
Beavercreek Pizza Dive
Tropical Smoothie
Ritter's Frozen Custard

"Bob D. Apple," aka Allie, wrote a letter to the president to persuade him to make the apple our national fruit. 🍎🍏
Great job, Allie!
Thank you to Five Guys for partnering with our Beavercreek High School Air Force JROTC program and to all cadets and families who came together for this delicious fundraising event! 🍔🍟
