🌧️✈️ Despite the Miami Valley facing the remnants of Hurricane Helene, 40 Air Force Junior ROTC cadets from Beavercreek HS, Fairborn HS, and Bellbrook HS came together at Air Camp held at the Greene County Airport!
The AFJROTC Air Camp offers cadets an incredible opportunity to explore STEM-related fields, aviation, and aeronautics. They learned how to pre-flight aircraft, flew drones and simulators, soldered, worked with small engines, and even had a falcon land on their arms! 🛩️🦅
While the weather didn’t cooperate for flying yesterday, all cadets will get the chance to soar once conditions improve. A huge thank you to USAF Colonel (Ret) Rafi Rodriguez, the Air Camp staff, and the volunteers who made this amazing experience possible! 🙌 #AFJROTC #BcreekSchools

🍞 A Sweet Tradition Continues! 🍞
Many years ago, the grandmother of a Beavercreek Varsity Football player began making banana bread to bring the team good luck on game days. After her grandson graduated, the tradition was passed down, and this season, Mrs. Haacke's class at BHS has taken on the baking!
Each week, the staff in Mrs. Haacke's room bakes 16 loaves of banana bread, with the students helping to package and label them. Fifteen loaves go to the team!
As a thank you for their hard work, the team honored Mrs. Haacke's class with Impact Player shirts. This tradition has been a fun and meaningful way for the class to be involved and support the team.
Way to go, Mrs. Haacke's class, for keeping this special tradition alive! 🏈🧡 #BHSFootball #BananaBreadTradition #ImpactPlayers #CreekPride
