Annual Shaw Tiger Run!!!!
Register your student NOW for this year's Tiger Run! This is our biggest fundraiser every year and the students have a blast too!! Rather than having students participate in a sales-oriented fundraiser, we create an event where they are working together as a class for class goal rewards and then running at a fun event at the end of two weeks. This is the last week to get pledges for it since we run the Tiger Run on Friday so please share it with your friends and family. Over the past seven years, we have upgraded most of the playground equipment through our fun run fundraisers. We have one piece left to replace (it's the faded pink one) and with your help, we can do it!
Everyone is welcome to come and watch their child(ren) run on Friday. We ask that you go straight around to the field behind the school, rather than through the school, as are taking turns running, so some grade levels are still in class while others are running. Parking is limited and many people find it easier to park on the street near the field or in our SIDE parent loop. Every student will get a T-shirt the morning of the Tiger Run, where we will mark the laps on the back of the shirt that they complete during the run. They love wearing it throughout the year as a fun way to show off their Tiger Pride and participation in the Tiger Run!
The Shaw staff is ready for lots of learning and fun at Shaw this year! Can't wait to see you all next week for the first days of school! A-L on Monday and M-Z on Tuesday.
New Student Orientation is on August 10th at 9:00am beginning in the gym.
Open house for all families: August 11th: 4-4:45 for A-L and 5-5:45 for M-Z. Parking in the front and back of the school.
It's Red Ribbon Week! This year’s theme is a reminder that each and every person can commit to a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and make significant contributions to achieving a drug-free community. #RedRibbonWeek #BcreekSchools

🎿 WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SCHOOL MEMORY FROM WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER: My favorite school memory was winning the Invention Convention in sixth grade! My dad created a 'snow blocker' to block snow from getting on our wrists when we went skiing. It later became a REAL product, but not by my family!
🤗 FONDEST MEMORY IN YOUR CURRENT POSITION: I love when I see students helping each other and learning to have positive talk! We work hard on being great PAX leaders, so watching them take ownership of their behaviors and be more positive is amazing.
