🏕️🔥 Do you know what the best part of camping is??? SMORES!!! 😋 Some of our Parkwdoo preschoolers have been learning all about camping—what to pack, fun activities to do, and everything in between. Did you know September is Deaf Awareness Month? We are proud to have many amazing individuals in our district who are part of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. To celebrate, some of our students, teachers, and interpreters had a blast decorating the BHS rock! 🤟🏼 AHA stands for All Hearing Abilities, reminding us that everyone, regardless of hearing level, is welcome in our community. Students in Miss Gore's class at Shaw have been learning what it means to be a scientist and each step of the scientific method. This past week, they experimented to answer the question: "What will happen to a gummy bear placed in different liquids?" Our scientists hypothesized, observed, and recorded their findings—and were amazed to discover that the gummy bears expanded rather than dissolved! Then, they explored the science behind it, discussing how the gelatin in the gummy bears caused osmosis. They had so much fun experimenting and learning! 🍬🔍 #ShawElementary #BcreekSchools
