Congratulations to Parkwood's Spelling Bee Champion, 5th grader Savannah Miller, and runner-up 4th grader Saketh Sajay! All the participants in this event did a great job. 🏆

There shouldn't be any last-minute holiday shopping going on this weekend by Trebein students thanks to the fifth graders' Mini Mall!
Yesterday, students could shop and purchase handmade items such as pillows, jewelry, stress balls, candy, and even dog treats. The fifth graders made their items as part of their economics classes.
The students learned about profit, supply and demand, advertising, goods and services, and teamwork while putting together the mini-mall for the rest of the school!

Mrs. Fouts' 7th-grade health classes at Ankeney wrapped up their muscular system unit by creating life-sized diagrams. Students got to tap into their creative side while choosing a theme and decorating their projects. It's clear the district has some true #Swifties, as one of the groups created a #MuscularTaylorSwift.

Hannah Johnson, kitchen manager at Valley Elementary, is this week’s staff spotlight! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hannah has been with the district for two years and hopes to teach students the importance of kindness. She says, “Acts of kindness make the world a better place for everyone.”
Hannah’s parents are to whom she attributes her success, as they have always supported and encouraged her. They also modeled a good work ethic and strong values growing up.
If there is one thing she hopes people know about our district, it would be that we have so many wonderful staff members, and our students are always the top priority!

Special thank you to Nathan, Kayli, and Brady for taking a break from show choir rehearsal tonight to stop by our Board of Education meeting! They stopped by to give our Board an update on all things BHS in a new segment called “High School Happenings.” #BHS #FriendsShowChoir

Ms. Rice’s adorable kindergarten class at Trebein put on a VERY special performance for their families, including singing and dancing, and even had special props! They ALL did amazing! Afterward, students decorated gingerbread cookies. ⛄🎄🎅

Congrats to our Coy Robotics Teams! They won several awards at the Dayton Vex Classic and The North Union competition! We already have several state qualifiers this season!

Recently, two of our BHS Art Portfolio students, Audrey and Jayne, dedicated volunteer hours after school to paint an art mural for the Beavercreek Preschool students to enjoy. Thank you to their art teacher, Kathy Broyles, and preschool teacher, Amanda McQuade, for helping with this project!
Great job, Audrey and Jayne! 🎨

Ankeney Middle School staff and students got into the Thanksgiving spirit last month by collecting food to donate to Feed the Creek. Each item donated meant a feather on the paper turkey of a staff member of their choice. The winner wore a turkey costume as our staff searched for turkeys to win prizes! Thank you to Ankeney's Student Advisory for organizing this event!

Main Elementary is bustling with activities for the season. The school held its school shop, which allowed students to take time to shop for gifts to give to their family and friends. We had"special wrappers" who took the time to volunteer and help make all the gifts purchased even more special for our students, and Santa even made an appearance!
There was also a tree lighting for the first time at Main! Beavercreek High School student council spearheaded the night, which included hot chocolate and a holiday performance. #TheBestTimeOfTheYear ⛄️🎄🎅

The BHS Speech Team continues to excel! They traveled last weekend to Olentangy Liberty HS in Columbus. Exciting results came in, with the entire team improving their ranks and placements and many new students placing higher than ever for the first time!

- Freshman Matthew Blackman placed 2nd in Dramatic Interp
- Junior Frida Lozano placed 3rd in US Extemp

Beavercreek is staying home but staying busy this weekend. They are hosting Ohio's only full 2-day tournament with teams coming from Columbus, Akron, Canton, and West Virginia. Wish them luck in competing and hosting as they end their first semester strong!

Congratulations to our amazing Rolling Beavers, who got their 3rd straight season-opening game WIN last Friday!!! 🏀🏀🏀
They beat the Centerville Elks, 15-10, coming back from a first-half deficit. Also, our cheerleaders did a fantastic job cheering our team to victory!
